Welcome to the weekend! Isn’t it weird how just a few days ago it wasn’t the weekend and now it totally is?! Crazy!
Last week was my first week as a Babble blogger and I had a ton of fun doing it. I was very worried that I wouldn’t be able to strike the balance of what I blogged about there vs. what I blogged about here, but I think I’m getting the hang of it.
You can read all my Babble posts here, but I want to give a special shout out this post about words (that I made up) that every mother should know. Even if you’re not a mother, you should probably read it to expand your vocabulary. Like, do you know what VBACation is? I didn’t think so.
Posts that made me laugh:
What My Kids Think I Do All Day While They’re At School- I could have written this one word-for-word. You know, if I were Wendi and had thought of it.
Another Imaginary Conversation With the Still Overweight and Increasingly Resentful Cat. Proof that there’s more to feline humor than Lolcats.
Posts that made me think:
Pitching Bloggers: There Are No Shortcuts If you’re in the blogging and/or PR world, don’t miss this one!
In Which I Defend Samantha Brick a really smart analysis of why Samantha Brick struck such a nerve, and yes, a defense of her. I’m not sure I agree, but it’s definitely worth thinking about.
Even though I don’t understand Tumblr (despite the fact that everyone’s like it’s so intuitive!), I found these and I love them. It turns out that you don’t have to understand in order to love.
(if I knew what Tumblr was and how to make one, I’d make one called Texts from Hillary’s Hair and have each one captioned
“CUT ME FOR THE LOVE OF GOD AND PEOPLE WITH EYES!”
Here’s website that I found while I was doing some, ahem, research:
